Na Associação de Taekwondo da Grande Vitória a mudança de graduação é realizada conforme a seguir:
- Avaliação prática (para todos os alunos): os alunos são testados sobre os conhecimentos da graduação em momento coletivo sob o comando da Mestra.
- Teste de comportamento (para alunos até 10 anos): o teste deve ser respondido pelos pais ou familiares responsáveis. Objetivo é medir o desenvolvimento comportamental da/do aluna/aluno que deverá ser entregue no dia da avaliação prática.
- Trabalho escrito (para alunos acima de 10 anos): a prova será respondida com base no conteúdo da apostila e deverá ser entregue no dia da avaliação prática.
O tempo de permanência na graduação corresponderá à graduação do aluno, podendo variar de 3 a 6 meses. As graduações de faixas coloridas são as seguintes:
- 10º Gub: faixa branca.
- 8º Gub: faixa amarela.
- 7º Gub: faixa amarela ponta verde.
- 6º Gub: faixa verde.
- 5º Gub: faixa verde ponta azul.
- 4º Gub: faixa azul.
- 3º Gub: faixa azul ponta vermelha.
- 2º Gub: faixa vermelha.
- 1º Gub: faixa vermelha ponta preta.
- Candidato: faixa preta.
